Sanjeev Kapoor , India’s most famous cook is popular worldwide for his awesome food recipes. His restaurant named The Yellow Chilli,  have their branches across India and few other countries i guess. He recently visited Nepal to open branch here too. I was hungry and was heading to my favorite vegetarian restaurant in Nepal   “Aagan” but just nearby i saw The Yellow Chilli (Thapathali, Bluebird Mall). Without thinking twice i changed my direction towards this new restro. When i entered i was really happy with the decoration and cleanness of the sitting place. I was with mom and we sat on some sofa like stuff. Immediately, waiters came up with menu. Menu was really interesting, clean and professional. Waiters were helpful and nice.

Going through the menu, i found price to be bit higher than expected. Quality always matters so i ordered Paneer vegetable and Naan. Mom ordered plain curd. It took a while to arrive but we were served with papaads in the meantime …It would have been better if there was some green salad too.

Once food arrived, waiters helped us to serve which was really good. 🙂 The quantity of vegetable was really less and i once said “WTF” .. There were just 4 small pieces of paneer and the cost was 500Nrs. However, it tasted good. Butter Naan was good enough ! I was hungry so started to eat quickly …

The plates were removed quickly and table was cleaned fast. I asked for the bill and it came up with added VAT and SERVICE charges.  Around 1000Nrs for a simple mean ? Its surely a 5 star hotel price. But i  loved the place and will be visiting again.

My Second Visit

Second visit to Yellow Chilli Nepal was also okay. Service was late and wasn’t much impressive. Okay Food .. Poker Face 🙂

On a whole, highly overpriced yet a good restaurant. You will definitely be impressed with the cleanness, hygiene of the food and behavior of  staffs. And yeah, the washroom was great too. A must visit place !
