Heya ! A review of restaurant after long time. In fact, a post in my blog after a long time … It is Masala Cottage this time which is located at new baneshwor just after The Everest Hotel !
I had ordered food once from Masala Cottage before and was “OK” ! I was in a mood to test some Indian Dishes so entered there. Door was opened by a folk when i reached there (I was about to Push the door but a guy opened and i nearly fell …lolz ..) Bad luck i guess. After entering, i directly went to first floor. The environment was not that bad ! Summer time and i was not feeling the cool of A/C or fan ! Soon, menu was provided by a waiter followed by a glass of water.
There were various Indian Items in the menu and i asked with waiter what is special here but couldn’t get any good answer. I ordered Resmi Kebab, Choyla (nepali food), Chicken Butter Masala and a Tandoori Roti with butter. Choyla came fast ! I was surprised when i took a look at Beverage menu to see Blue Label priced 2400Nrs per 60ML ! This is terrific and its rate of 5 star hotel. It was not wise to order blue label, thus i went with grey goose vodka ! I asked for cranberry juice + orange juice but they said cranberry juice is not available. ! I was disappointed and asked to give me pineapple+orange juice. Waiter brought just orange juice which was another disappointing stuff !
The taste of Choyla was good ! Resmi Kebab was not bad. Chicken Butter Masala was disappointing ! I was in a hurry to finish my food and leave the restaurant. Though i didn’t taste many food out there, i can certainly say this shouldn’t be your target restaurant if you want to enjoy Indian Food. You may be curious where should i go then ? Well, i am also searching and hope i will find a good one soon. I have heard of few but just hadn’t have time to visit !
