It is good to know that eSewa Nepal has started its service. I just went through the site and created account there. https://esewa.com.np/. eSewa Nepal has good features that are very common in developed countries but is another great achievement in Internet World of Nepal. Below are most important features that eSewa Nepal is providing currently :

Recharge NTC Online
Shop Online
Buy Air Ticket online
Pay School and tution fees online
Pay ISP bills online
Pay to newspaper subscription online (Kantipur, Nagarik etc)
Pay electricity bills online
Pay NTC bills online
Pay UTL Bills

These are really cool services and i am sure more features will be added very soon ! eSewa Nepal will go viral in Nepal. They will be most profited business in the whole Nepal within few years. Not much, just 2-3 years. I can see the market ! Actually, i was planning to start similar service a year ago but there were various problems. I am really happy to see that eSewa Nepal has finally started these great services.

How to recharge the eSewa Account ?

There are eSewa Recharge cards available. Besides, you can recharge using your bank accounts. eSewa is currently partnered with Laxmi bank, Bank of Asia etc and many more banks will join soon.

You can recharge with paypal. This is amazing feature. There are fees of around 4%-6% while recharging through paypal which is great indeed. If you recharge $100 then about $4 will be deducted as service charge. 6% will be deducted if you are recharging below 30USD.

With Draw

Simply withdraw your balance to the partnered bank accounts.

Best of luck for eSewa Nepal Payment gateway ! I will be using it for sure, if everything goes as said.

eSewa use gare huncha. eSewa is already doing hundi business with Laxmi bank. Huna ta mero ni paypal cha tara its shame that Laxmi bank is encouraging such illegal operations with esewa.

Why does esewa claims that they are first payment gateway of Nepal?
PayNepal is the first payment gateway in Nepal and not esewa. When you claim something, you should claim it right. You can not claim others rank. Bholi payway ra paybill le pani first gateway bhanla re. Be professional.

Esewa is the biggest slug I’ve found. Withdrawals from your esewa account to your bank account takes 24hrs (esewa want to increase their interest rates holding the clients money into their account). I tried to check the service and for everywithdrawal they charge their customer (WTF) to withdraw the money into the same persons account you have to pay fees. Thus I abandoned Esewa. Wanted to setup an ecommerce site using esewa and its services but the service charge is too hight compared to their sluggish service.

These days I am using PayWay, faster and better than esewa (at least they don’t make your pocket empty withdrawing funds to your bank account.

esewa is not the payment gate way. its a facilitator inside nepal only and nepal government doesnot have those acts to support online transaction from outside country to inside or vice versa. Remember esewa doesnot exists if bank doesnot support them. Money transaction could only be done by banks not pvt company. If you have good relation with bank management and could convince them start your own esewa.
But nice to see eCommerce evolving.
